Two questions and you're done. Everything else has a sensible default you can change later.
Where does OBS save your recordings?
This is the only thing the app truly needs. Nothing is uploaded or moved — your recordings stay exactly where they are.
Connect to OBS (recommended)
With the websocket connected, game events land on your recording's own clock instead of wall-clock guesswork — and the clip hotkey can save OBS's replay buffer for instant, full-quality clips.
In OBS: Tools → WebSocket Server Settings → enable, then copy the password here.
You can skip this and set it up later.
Which track is your voice?
Used for transcription and searching what was said. Multi-track OBS setups usually put the mic on its own track — press ▶ to hear three seconds of each.
