One question matters; the rest have sensible defaults you can change later.
Where does OBS save your recordings?
This is the only thing the app truly needs. Nothing is uploaded or moved — your recordings stay exactly where they are.
MP4, MKV and MOV, in that folder or up to three
folders inside it. There is an
OBS
setup guide if you want to get the most out of it — none of
it is required.
Connect to OBS (recommended)
With the websocket connected, game events land on your recording's own clock instead of wall-clock guesswork — and the clip hotkey can save OBS's replay buffer for instant, full-quality clips.
In OBS: Tools → WebSocket Server Settings → enable, then copy the password here.
You can skip this and set it up later.
Which track is your voice?
Used for transcription and searching what was said. Multi-track OBS setups usually put the mic on its own track — press play to hear three seconds of each.
looking at your newest recording…
No recordings yet? Skip this — the default (track 1) works for single-track setups, and it's changeable in settings.
A key to shelf the moment
Press it mid-game and the last half minute is saved — from OBS's replay buffer when it is on, otherwise cut from the recording once the session ends. It waits on the shelf until you trim it, so pressing it costs nothing.
shelf it
This platform can't bind a global key from inside the app.
Bind the clip endpoint from your desktop instead — the command to bind is in
settings → hotkeys, and the docs walk through it.
